Free Music!

Our weekend Curators Mark Davis and Joe Harvard are both musicians, as well as visual artists. On Saturdays Joe brings his guitar and some electronics, and on Sundays Mark brings hand drums and a bubble sax and lots of fun stuff kids can enjoy.

When Event Curator Mallory Massara is onsite you may see the lads transform into their musical personas Doctor Danger and the amazing, imaginative Xylophone of Wrench!

Flower Power!

Using a few very simple tools, you can turn simple plastic containers into a dazzling array of different, imaginary flowers. Add a little paint and you've created your first piece of found object art!

Joe would love to show you, or your group or class, how-to! There's even a manual! Text 732-609-7632 and he'll call you back ASAP.

ARTchaeologists!

Our lot is laid out like an archaeological site, and we allow our plants to thrive naturally, enhancing the illusion that one is discovering the remains of a vanished forest culture. Who were these strange, lost people? Why did they use so much plastic?

Whenever convenient we bring black light flashlights for visitors to use during our after-dark hours, so they can enjoy the Day-Glo and Glow-in-the-Dark decorations on most of our art.

Flower Power!

Working with found objects in a creative endeavor is a great way to practice what we call The Five RE's: Reuse, Repair, Recycle, Repurpose, and RESPECT the Earth! Turning discarded items littering the community into something useful and entertaining, through the investment of thought and effort, is a fine way to teach youngsters how to be proactive, not reactive, within their world.
