Lots of exciting things have been happening since the Magic Tent went up -- & down again -- on First Saturday, August 5, for Parlor Gallery's newest exhibit opening. This includes upcoming interviews with NJTV for their one-hour Asbury Park spotlight, as part of their In Your Neighborhood series of city profiles; and a Thursday, Aug. 10 interview for Natalia Imbruglia's NYU film on the importance of recycling, including a live demonstration of a piece being constructed.
We love opportunities to get the word out to the world about our community black light, trash-art gallery. Thanks to Mallory and Violet for the respective hook-ups, we'll try to do you proud.
Meanwhile our 5th black-light, LED-loaded bottle-chain is up and awaiting power, and a 6th has just been completed to attach to it, as we close in on completion of our Phase Two lighting plan. Photos below show Theo and Vincent assisting with the process of prepping, stringing and painting the bottles.
