One of the earliest supporters of the gARTen @ 713 Cookman have been Dave and Julie Warren. Invitations to the Warrens' Couchilla events are hot tickets among music and art cognoscenti, where the former's circle of friends mix with the area's artists and musicians, the food is good and the music generally excellent.

Dave has made every gARTen event that he was in town for, going back to our inaugural June, 2015 Asbury Underground event when we were called "the Garden of Good & Easel" -- a moniker that has been hard to shake btw. At that Beauty Thru Decay [BTD] show, featuring Mallory Massara's abstract steel work and my photos, Dave made the Warrens' first two purchases: a framed BTD photo, and "Long Shot Kick the Bucket", one of my early Beauty Thru Radiation [BTR] Day-Glo, found object pieces.

Since then the Warrens have added a piece from every show, including my art629 Gallery BTR Holiday Black Light Art Show. They also hosted a dinner for a dozen friends to introduce them to my work, and to the gARTen, becoming patron gARTeners as well as friends along the way.
A few weeks back I had a look at the Warren's garage, which houses their outsider and edgier art, as a lighting consultant. We chose a large LED-powered panel light, to be positioned centrally and high up. This week, when I mentioned that I was having trouble keeping the fiscal home fires burning while trying to complete Phase Two [adding various types of black lights to the gARTen]; Dave's response was "with the new fixture lighting up the entire room now, I need more work to fill it -- it's time to add some more Joe Harvard pieces to our collection". Having the Warrens purchase work means that it helps -- like any other sale -- but also stays in the family. That's a win-win.
The new additions to the Warren Collection are: "Stringbean Blues", "Escape Plan" and "Game Theory". Good luck in your new home!
