Bottle Chain Number 7 lights up!

Bottle Chain Number 7 lights up!

We are welcoming two new volunteers this week. Jesse Fox manned the gate on Saturday and Sunday, while I was off in Boston, and my son Aidan has just done his second evening as gate keeper tonight - Thursday, August 24, 2017. He also redid our sign, and made it way cooler!

Aidan also spend a few hours today picking the Italian Plums that were threatening to take the tree down. We gave six bags to Mike at Cookman Creamery, who will be making a gARTen Plum Crazy flavor this week! We are so excited to try it. And the tree is back to its upright position, looking much happier.

We also got our seventh Bottle Chain wired in today, it looks great! Nearly got the whole lot ringed in these black-light, LED-powered necklaces, and the gARTen looks magically beautiful at night. Great to see Greg Wilkens & the other Swagmatic members headed to practice, too.

Welcome aboard, Jesse and Aidan! Thanks for your assistance in creating America's First Outdoor, Black-Light, Trash Art Gallery.

Help Us Turn Trash Into Art

We collect plastic from streets and sidewalks, beaches, lots and laundromat trash cans, clean it, repurpose it, paint it Day-Glo and display it in an outdoor gallery for the community to enjoy.
