It's only a brief look, just before the Parlor Gallery segment, but with all the cool establishments and galleries on and around Cookman Ave., we are wicked proud to have made the cut for On the Town in Asbury Park, documenting a day in Asbury Park on a hundred dollar budget.

Our thanks to Parlor Gallery's Jenn Hampton, who guided Ming Chen, podcast host and co-star of the hit AMC reality series "Comic Book Men," and Alex Biese of the Asbury Park Press, to our gate. Ming Chen partnered with APP and the USA Today Network to bring the Aug. 7, 2017 video tour to fans. Here's the link to the article, the video, and an album of 59-photos from the day -- including eight of the gARTen @ 713 Cookman:
The APP website notes: "Viewers and readers followed along with Chen and Biese's day through the Asbury Park Press' Twitter and Instagram feeds, as well as the USA Today Instagram and Snapchat (usatoday) feeds."
Sweet!
Like many a great day in Asbury Park it begins with breakfast at Frank's Deli, which provides, in my experience, the fastest breakfast service anywhere in the country. My first decade in AP was spent on Fourth, just east of Main, and I made the one-minute stroll for countless breakfasts and brunches. I still haven't eaten lunch or dinner, though I reckon it's probably also startlingly fast.
